Naples “Ephebe” on View in Malibu

The Getty Villa has just put on view its first big Italian loan, the bronze "Ephebe as a Lampbearer" from Naples. It occupies the long-vacant Basilica, which formerly showed a Roman marble Apollo of unknown provenance. The Getty returned the Apollo to Italy under the 2007 agreement.
