And you are right, the BCAM is a tinker toy buidling, and the cover courtyard a ripoff of a boring "painting". Ruscha's Standard Station. Pop is so damn hoplessly dreivative, I guess its a thing called "smart" and "clever", instead of passionate and intelligent.
Got on my blog how to easily rejuvenate LACMA, and make Times Court the a center of cultural activity in LA, instead of the dead space it is now except when patrons have parties and blockbuster shows create long lines. For less than a million bucks, we dont have money for sterile starchitects Mausoleums anymore. Been there three times lately, and practically empty, on Saturdays too.
