In 2020 two chemical explosions in the port of Beruit severely damaged an Artemisia Gentileschi painting, Hercules and Omphale. Owned by Roderick Sursock Cochrane, it was sent to the Getty for treatment. The restored painting is to make its debut at the Getty Center in a focus show, alongside three other Gentileschi pictures of fierce females. "Artemisia Gentileschi's Strong Women" will run June 10, 2025 to Sep. 14, 2025.

This restoration has been going on for quite a bit.
