The Greek Reporter says that an internationally touring exhibition of artifacts from the Griffin Warrior tomb is to visit the Getty Villa. It will apparently be the first loan exhibition since the Palisades fire cut short last year's "Ancient Thrace and the Classical World". The Villa is still closed until further notice.
The Mycenaean tomb of the Griffin Warrior, discovered in 2015 near the ancient city of Pylos, contained about 1400 objects. The exhibition, "Prince of Pylos," has opened in Kalamata, Greece, and is scheduled to travel to the Getty Villa in June 2025 and the National Archaeological Museum in Athens in early 2026.
