Six L.A. Museums Have Closed Permanently in the Past Two Years
The A+D Architecture and Design Museum will not re-open its downtown L.A. building, citing a plan to pivot to digital and pop-up exhibitions. The news follows last week's announcement that the Annenberg Space for Photography is shutting down.
In the past 21 months, six L.A. museums have closed their physical sites permanently. The COVID pandemic was a factor only for the A+D and the Annenberg.
