The Getty Research Institute has acquired the archive of Rachel Rosenthal (1926-2015), augmenting its holdings of New York and L.A. avant garde performance. The archive spans Rosenthal's entire career and includes an Instant Theatre visitor's book signed by Wallace Berman, Lee Mullican, Luchita Hurtado, and Wolfgang Paalen.

In other archive news, the Huntington has added the papers of the Leong and See families, whose history was told by Lisa See in her 1995 memoir, On Gold Mountain: The One-Hundred-Year Odyssey of a Chinese-American Family. The materials include drawings and other materials by artist Tyrus Wong (1910-2016), who drew for Disney's Bambi and designed artful menus for the See family's Chinatown restaurant.
