Gagosian Is Renting Marciano Space

Jim Shaw, "Wig Museum" (2017), at Marciano Art Foundation
Nate Freeman, in ArtNet News, is reporting that Larry Gagosian "has reached an exclusive occupancy agreement with the Marciano Art Foundation to program the grand Theater Gallery commencing in January 2021." The gallery, a former Masonic theater, housed installations by Jim Shaw, Olafur Elisasson, Ai WeiWei, and Donna Huanco during the Marciano foundation's short tenure.

it will be interesting to see if the powers that be of Hancock Park will be ok with Gagosian operating there. It is in violation of the Park Mile Plan. Marciano got a waiver on it, but he was not operating a business there.
