Academy Museum Moves Opening to September 2021

The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures has pushed back its opening date five months, to September 30, 2021, "due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic." Director Bill Kramer is quoted: "[W]ith the current surge of COVID-19, it would be irresponsible to maintain an April opening."

That photo looks un-retouched since it shows the Govan-Zumthor debacle as not yet having kicked into high gear. Or maybe the old May Co building and property were further along in being remodeled than I realized several months ago, even before the bulldozers moved in further east.
