MOCA and Active Cultures are presenting "Soup & Tart," a reboot of a 1974 performance marathon conceived by Fluxus artist Jean Dupuy. In the original event, staged at New York's The Kitchen, guests dined on homemade lentil soup and apple tarts, and 30 downtown artists, musicians, and filmmakers presented 2-minute performances. The artists ranged from Carolee Schneeman to Gordon Matta-Clark to Philip Glass.

The MOCA version will be held at the Geffen Contemporary on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 6 PM. Tickets are $30—that includes food by some of L.A.'s most creative chefs!

Sarah Cooper organized the MOCA event.
