Torqued Ellipse, Wet and Dry

Richard Serra's T.E.U.C.L.A. (2006) when wet. Franklin D. Murphy Sculpture Garden, UCLA

News to me: Rain changes Richard Serra's Corten steel sculptures from a velvety burnt sienna to a glossy dark chocolate.

I knew that it changed due to any elemental change, including lightness and darkness

I walked past Serra's "Tilted Arc" every day for years.
Per Wiki: "It consisted of a 120-foot-long (37 m), 12-foot-high (3.7 m) solid, unfinished plate of rust-covered COR-TEN steel."
It displayed beautifully at 26 Federal Plaza in Manhattan from 1981 to 1989.
But gone now because of ignorance and hate.
It's in storage, likely never to be displayed again, since Serra insisted that it only ever be seen again at its original site.
