Broad Curtails Special Exhibitions Thru 2022

Vox has an article surveying four museum directors on COVID, racial reckoning, and the changing museum public. Joanne Heyler of the Broad says that her institution doesn't plan any large loan exhibitions "until probably 2022… I think I have a lot of company in thinking that way at other museums as well." 

Heyler offers the statistic that, for the past two or three years, more than 50 percent of works acquired for the Broad have been by artists of color.
