"Joan Didion" to Miami


The Hammer Museum's "Joan Didion: What She Means" will be traveling to the Perez Art Museum Miami (July 13, 2023–Jan. 7, 2024).

Another Hilton Als guest-curated show, of five Njideka Akunyili Crosby collage-paintings, opens at the Huntington Feb. 15 and runs through June 12, 2023.

I realize that Crosby is known as full-on chromatic. But I just love the young girl in her “The Beautyful Ones” Series #4. The whiteswhiteswhites of everything is so dazzling and dramatic. I'm in awe at the moment.
Does Yale own it? If no, they should: she's an MFA alum.
