Three Frick Paintings at the Norton Simon This Summer

New York's Frick Collection is lending three paintings to the Norton Simon Museum this summer: Chardin's Lady with a Bird-Organ (1753), Boucher's A Lady on Her Day Bed (1743), and Jean-Baptiste Greuze's The Wool Winder (about 1759). "The Sweetness of Life: Three 18th-Century French Paintings from The Frick Collection" runs June 14 to Sep. 9, 2019.

Currently two of Norton Simon's Rembrandts, the Self-Portrait and Portrait of a Boy ("Titus"), anchor a focus show of "Rembrandt Portraits" at the Art Institute of Chicago through June 9, 2019.
