The UCLA Hammer Museum says it's planning to open a new works-on-paper gallery, as well as a new study room for the Grunwald Center, in calendar year 2022.

There will be a lot more to see. Since 2019 the Hammer Contemporary and Grunwald collections have acquired over 200 works by 160 artists. Among the paper works is a large mixed-media collage by 2020 Mohn Award-winner Kandis Williams.

Grunwald Center accessions include five drawings by Charles Burchfield (from Susan and Larry Marx) and others by Lee Bontecou and Carroll Dunham; prints by Barkley Hendricks, Jasper Johns, Julie Mehretu, and Chris Ofili.
