Corita Art Center Plans Expansion

Corita Kent—L.A.'s political-Pop artist/nun—is becoming ubiquitous. Thirty-three years after her death, she's got a single artist gallery show in New York and is appearing in group shows in Brussels, Washington DC, Detroit, and Los Angeles (at both MOCA and LACMA, in "Open House: Elliot Hundley" and "Between the Lines: Typography in LACMA's Collection," respectively). The Corita Art Center, in Hollywood on the campus of Immaculate Heart High School, is planning to establish an expanded space for exhibitions and education, to open about 2020.
