Beta Main to Unpack Arceneaux's "Library"

With a growing number of contemporary art museums seeking to justify themselves as disruptive innovators, a popular talking point is the ability to circumvent the usual multi-year lead time of museum exhibitions. The (Beta) Main Museum has doubled down on that premise by announcing a promising exhibition to begin in just 12 days. "Edgar Arceneaux: Library of Black Lies" will run Feb. 4 to March 26, 2017. The 2016 installation drew praise in Paris and Cambridge, Massachusetts (it was shown, as part of a larger one-artist exhibition, at the MIT List Visual Arts Center through Jan. 8).
