Armenian American Museum: The Petersen of Glendale?

Glendale recently approved the city's planned Armenian American Museum. The museum website has new renderings of the building, and some are comparing the design to L.A.'s Petersen Automotive Museum. That's probably not a compliment. The L.A. building, in turn, has been compared to Guy Fieri, Donald Trump's hair, and a Miami Vice disco. ("It's located in the Miracle Mile. The only miracle is that anybody comes within a mile of this place." —Alex Mesrobian.)

Glendale-based Alajajian Marcoosi Architects says the AAM design is based on characteristic rock formations in Armenia and the Verdugo Mountains.
